As a Pôle Universitaire d'Innovation (PUI), theUniversity of Montpellier supportsinnovation and enhances theattractiveness of the region with the contribution of 15 research partners and 5 innovation players.

The Booster Innovation Montpellier (B.I.M.), set up in 2020, is one of the PUI's initiatives to detect and support emerging innovative projects.

Since its creation, the B.I.M. has provided funding for 19 projects, awarding a total of €476,900 to enhance and develop the winning projects.

For this year 2024, the B.I.M. is organizing 4 new sessions aimed at holders of emerging innovative projects from the University of Montpellier and its research partners. The B.I.M. is open to all themes.

The aim is to identify projects in the early stages of maturation , and help them find the most appropriate ways to exploit their potential.

During the three days of training, you'll receive coaching and advice, as well as pitch preparation. A jury made up of I-SITE members will evaluate your project and select the winners, who will be eligible for funding of up to €60,000. Following the competition, you will be offered appropriate support.

To participate :

  • All emerging projects led by staff from laboratories and structures dedicated to innovation in the ISITE Program of Excellence (PEI - full list HERE), in particular researchers and teacher-researchers, are eligible for this program.
  • All emerging projects led by students at the University of Montpellier are eligible.
  • Projects carried out by project leaders from outside the ISITE perimeter are eligible, provided they can demonstrate a substantial link with one of the laboratories or structures dedicated to innovation of the IAP partners. All emerging projects, whether led by companies or other entities, must meet this eligibility condition in order to be considered.
  • The project owner also undertakes to attend the 3-day session.
