Would you like to do an internship as part of your training?

Internships are part of the university curriculum. They are governed by specific provisions (law of 10 July 2014 aimed at developing and supervising internships and improving the status of interns, decree of 27 November 2014).

Internship periods and their duration vary according to the courses at the University of Montpellier, depending on the educational objectives. The internship office or the education department of the educational component to which the course is attached is your contact for information on how to organise your internship.

The search for an internship is becoming more and more like a job search, which requires real preparation on the part of the student:

  • reflect on the purpose of the course
  • carefully determine the host structure
  • mobilise the various tools necessary for the process (information research, CV, covering letter, interview preparation, etc.)
  • define precisely the tasks and skills to be acquired during the placement, together with their mentor teacher and their placement tutor in the host organisation

The SCUIO-IP team (Service Communitaire d'Information, d'Orientation et d'Insertion Professionnelle) is available to any student looking for an internship for personalised advice or within the framework of group workshops.

RESUM offers you :

  • resuman application space with targeted offers and alerts on offers,
  • the possibility to create and distribute different types of CVs,
  • boost your network,
  • to keep in touch with the elders!

You can access over 300 online internship opportunities so join us on the RESUMplatform

In order to facilitate the management and follow-up of internships, the University of Montpellier has set up a computer tool called PStage which allows students to complete their internship agreements, edit them and submit them for signature from their Digital Working Space. The internship office or the education department of the educational component to which your course is attached is your contact for information on the validation and signature of your internship agreements.

In France, the gratification of interns is mandatory for internships of more than 2 months. Internships are regulated by the Law of 10 July 2014 and the Decree of 27 November 2014 (articles L124-1 to L124-20 and D124-1 to D124-9 of the Education Code).
