13th Annual National Robotics Tournament

Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., science will be a breeze!

Organized by the Nîmes University Institute of Technology (IUT) and the National Sumo Robotics Tournament Association (TNRS), the tournament aims to introduce participants to science and new technologies, as well as foster an interest in the process
science and knowledge sharing—all while having fun.
The 2017 edition will feature a humanoid robot capable of recognizing and expressing certain emotions. Pepper, the tournament’s mascot, presented by the Mediterranean Institute for Computer Science and Robotics Research (IMERIR), will charm participants and delight the little ones.
Alongside the competition, exhibitors will host demonstrations of robots, drones, and 3D printers.
