13th edition of the national robotics tournament

On Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., science will be child's play!

Organized by the University Institute of Technology (IUT) in Nîmes and the National Sumo Robotics Tournament Association (TNRS), the tournament aims to introduce participants to science and new technologies, and to foster an interest in the process.

The 2017 edition will feature a humanoid robot capable of recognizing and reproducing certain emotions. Pepper, the tournament mascot, presented by the Mediterranean Institute for Research and Studies in Computer Science and Robotics (IMERIR), will charm participants and delight the little ones.
Alongside the competition, exhibitors will be hosting demonstrations of robots, drones, and 3D printers.
