Baal

A feminist, acrobatic dance quintet. By the Groupe Noces dance company.

“Baal is a choreographed piece performed by a quintet of men—dancers and acrobats—who are deeply engaged with the issue of feminism. They will bring feminist texts to life through movement and will be supported by a women’s chorus.”

Florence Bernad, a choreographer and director, has a clear vision—one that is courageous in light of certain viewpoints that would like to frame the fight against patriarchy as a women’s issue, but one that is undoubtedly widely shared as well.
