Charming Week: Inspiring Minds, Building the Future
This event has already taken place!
From May 18 to 21, 2026, the University of Montpellier will host Charming Week. This forward-looking highlight of the Charm-EU alliance will bring together members from its nine partner universities in Montpellier for a series of collaborative workshops and networking events focused on teaching practices in English and the pedagogical and ethical implications of generative AI.

Bringing together participants from the nine Charm-EU partner institutions, the Charming Week in Montpellier will foster dialogue on cooperation, educational innovation, and the exchange of best practices at the European level. The Charm-Eight project’s collaborative workshops on mobility, digital tools, and communication will take center stage at this event. The week will also feature two international networking events dedicated to major issues in higher education: English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), on the one hand, and the challenges and opportunities of generative artificial intelligence in teacher training, on the other.
Beyond the meetings and workshops, this week will highlight the strategic and transformative role of Charm-EU, both in building the European Higher Education Area and in shaping practices within the partner universities themselves. By fostering inter-institutional cooperation, the sharing of expertise, and the exchange of ideas, the alliance helps to foster new ways of teaching, learning, and collaborating in Europe.
