Cin’éthique “My Life for Yours”
This event has passed!
Tuesday October 3, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.
Faculty of Medicine, Anatomy Lecture Hall (tram stop Place Albert Ier on line 1)
The principle is simple: a film followed by a conference-debate on a health-related topic addressing ethical considerations, comparing the points of view of different perspectives: doctors, patients, members of civil society.
For this first Cin’éthique session of the 2017/2018 academic year, the film to be screened will be My life for yours, A film by Nick Cassavetes – 2009.
Next, a debate on the theme of "Organ donation, self-donation: current events and perspectives" will take place, bringing together a superb panel of different actors who are directly or indirectly affected by this issue:
- Prof. Gérald Chanques (anesthesiologist-resuscitator);
- Prof. Francis Navarro (digestive surgeon);
- Prof. Rodolphe Thuret (urologist);
- Dr. Florence Vachiery (organ procurement coordinator);
- Olivier Boyaval and Gérard Garcia (AFFDO association)
Admission is free and open to everyone.
