Ethical Cinema: “My Life for Yours”

The concept is simple: a film followed by a panel discussion on a health-related topic that explores ethical considerations by bringing together perspectives from different backgrounds—including doctors, patients, and members of civil society.
For this first "Cin’éthique" screening of the 2017–2018 academic year, the film to be shown will be My life for yours, A film by Nick Cassavetes – 2009.
Next, a panel discussion on the topic “Organ Donation: Giving of Oneself—Current Issues and Future Prospects” will take place, featuring an impressive lineup of various stakeholders directly or indirectly affected by this issue:

  • Prof. Gérald Chanques (anesthesiologist and intensive care specialist);
  • Prof. Francis Navarro (gastrointestinal surgeon);
  • Prof. Rodolphe Thuret (urologist);
  • Dr. Florence Vachiery (organ procurement coordinator);
  • Olivier Boyaval and Gérard Garcia (AFFDO Association)
