Colon Tour: a day to raise awareness about colorectal cancer

As part of Blue March, a month dedicated to raising awareness about colorectal cancer, the Montpellier Pharmacy Students' Association is organizing an information and prevention day at the Montpellier Faculty of Pharmacy on March 27.
On this occasion, the League Against Cancer's giant colon model will be on display from 9:30 a.m. in the faculty hall. This interactive exhibit will inform the public about screening and prevention methods for this disease. The various participants' stands will be open from 10 a.m.
Schedule for the day
- 11:30 a.m.: Opening remarks by Professor Dubois, President of the League Against Cancer, in the presence of Dr. Escande, Deputy Director of Campus Life at the faculty. (Lecture Hall B)
- All day until 4 p.m. Information and exchange stands with partner associations and organizations:
- League Against Cancer
- Regional Health Agency
- SMILE (support for patients facing diagnosis)
- PENut’S (nutrition and cancer prevention)
- Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Center – Occitanie (cancer screening)
- Social Security Administration
- ROTARACT
- Montpellier University Hospital – Immunology Department
- AAEPM stand selling crepes and presenting the association's activities
- Lectures (Lecture Hall B):
- 12:00 p.m.: Presentation by PENut’S on the role of nutrition in cancer prevention.
- 12:45 p.m.: Conference on the role of pharmacists in cancer care.
The event will end at 4 p.m. with the departure of the giant colon.
Students and staff of the University of Montpellier, come along to talk to healthcare professionals and learn more about the challenges of colorectal cancer screening and prevention.
