Clarinet concert

June 22, 2017  AGAC* joins forces with the IUT de Nîmes and the PIN'S association (association des personnels de l'iut de Nimes) for a concert by the clarinet ensemble Poco Assai, in amphi 3 of the IUT at 7pm.
Participation is free.

*The Association Gardoise des Amis de la Clarinette, or AGAC, created in 2010 by 4 artist-teacher friends, promotes the music played, listened to and shared in the Gard department.

Program :

• Handel: Jubilate from TeDeum Utrecht HWV278 (transc. B. Evans) ;
• Mendelssohn: 1st mvt from String Quintet No. 1 in A Major, Op. 18 (transc. B. Evans) ;
• Prokovief: Montaigus & Capulets from the orchestral suite Romeo and Juliet (Arr. B. Masciotta) ;
• Grieg: Sorgemarsch over Rikard Nordraak (Arr. B. Masciotta) ;
• Ciesla: 3 mvts from the Concerto for Clarinets (Bb, Bass and Eb) Fantasia, Habanera and Tarentella.

Let yourself be surprised by this musical chameleon, whose colors evolve over the course of a concert between the fusion of a vocal choir, the "peachiness" of a brass band, the virtuosity of a string orchestra, the good-naturedness of a marching band, and the serenity of great organs...
