Photo Contest: Work in Pictures
This event has already taken place!
It’s up to you to identify what contributes to your well-being at work.
As part of Workplace Quality of Life Week, the UM is launching a photo contest. The theme is “Work in Pictures.”
Objective: to reflect, share a vision, and capture in photographs what defines quality of life at work.

Before you get started, here are a few things to consider regarding quality of life at work
Quality of life at work (QLW) refers to all the factors that contribute to feeling good in one’s professional environment. It encompasses the sense of purpose in one’s work, the quality of relationships with colleagues, the nature of tasks, equality and inclusion, recognition of skills… and that special something that truly makes us want to do our jobs.
Here are a few examples that might inspire you:
- Diversity of experiences: showcasing the variety of careers and ways to find meaning in work.
- Moments of collaboration: highlighting the importance of teamwork and relationships among colleagues.
- Work-life balance: emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.
- Recognition and appreciation: capturing moments that highlight employees’ efforts.
- Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to safety and physical and mental well-being.
- Innovation and creativity: illustrating how a stimulating environment fosters new ideas.
