MAK'IT International Conference: What role for science in times of crisis?

Conference organized face-to-face in Montpellier and remotely.

Perspectives in the interconnected fields of health, environment and agriculture.

Organized by the Montpellier Advanced Knowledge Institute on Transitions (MAK'IT), in collaboration with the South Centre, this event aims to provide a forum for dialogue between scientists, policy-makers and other players involved in crisis management, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Discussions will focus on new scenarios for health, environmental and agricultural crises and their various dimensions. They will examine the complex interactions at play between science, politics and the public arena, as well as the role of scientists in the search for ways out of the crisis.

• The conference will be organized in a hybrid face-to-face and virtual format. Interpretation will be available in French and English.
