5 Thursdays to Gain a Better Understanding of Current Health Issues

As the successor to the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine—which is celebrating its 800th anniversary this year—the University of Montpellier boasts an exceptional heritage. Today, it is a research-intensive university teeming with faculty and researchers across a wide variety of academic fields. To highlight these achievements and make them accessible to as many people as possible, the 2020 “Les jeudis de l’UM ” series offers a series of lectures focusing on health.

For this first lecture in the series, titled “Medical Education: Pathways to Innovation,” there will be three speakers: Valérie Courtin, Blaise Debien, and Philippe Guilpain.

They will address the training and preparation of healthcare professionals, providing an overview of various simulation scenarios, state-of-the-art simulation platforms, and the challenges posed by new teaching techniques.
