5 Thursdays to better understand today’s health issues

As the successor to the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine, which is celebrating its 800th anniversary this year, the University of Montpellier boasts an exceptional heritage. Today, it is a research-intensive university teeming with faculty and researchers across a wide variety of fields of study. To highlight these fields and make them accessible to as many people as possible, “Les jeudis de l’UM” 2020 is offering a series of lectures focusing on health.

For this first lecture in the series, titled “Medical Education: Pathways to Innovation,” there will be three speakers: Valérie Courtin, Blaise Debien, and Philippe Guilpain.

They will address the training and preparation of healthcare professionals, providing an overview of various simulation scenarios, state-of-the-art simulation platforms, and the challenges posed by new teaching methods.
