—
Science and intervention research have made non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) essential solutions for preventing, treating, or curing health problems.
In prevention, they reduce the risk of disease and bring about lasting improvements in health behaviors. In care, they alleviate symptoms, improve overall health, and enhance quality of life. In therapy, they complement biological treatments. Studies show that they reduce unscheduled healthcare costs and out-of-pocket expenses for patients.
This conference, held in Montpellier, offers the following opportunities:
- raise awareness of scientifically validated NMI;
- share evidence on the efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of each NMP;
- discuss assessment methods;
- to better understand their mechanisms of action;
- promote the improvement of professional practices;
- consider future training programs, certifications, and funding;
- to meet with researchers and practitioners specializing in the field of INMs.
Thursday, March 28, 2019, will be devoted to plenary lectures and poster presentations in French and English on methods for evaluating INMs.
Friday, March 29, 2019, is set aside for the presentation of study results evaluating INMs through oral presentations and posters in French and English.
On Saturday, March 30, 2019, there will be panel discussions and professional workshops on clinical and scientific best practices in the INM sector.
Three lectures open to the public will be held on Thursday, March 28, and Friday, March 29, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
