Photographic Reflections by Marc Dantan

Fragments of Eden
In the heart of Montpellier’s Jardin des Plantes, photographic contemplations engage in a dialogue with herbarium plates from the University of Montpellier to evoke the silent memory of the plant world. Like fragments of a primordial garden, the images invite us to slow our gaze and delve into the depths of life. Straddling the line between science and poetry, they remind us of the fragility of this unassuming world that surrounds us. A way to contemplate, observe, and perhaps learn to preserve.

This exhibition by photographer Marc Dantan, organized in collaboration with the University of Montpellier in partnership with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and its Network of Media Libraries and Scientific Culture, is part of the UM Sciences project, which has been awarded the “Science with and for Society” (SAPS) designation by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Space.
