Behind the Scenes at Shared Virtual Offices

The Charm-EU alliance of European universities presents Charm-ON, a series of monthly webinars designed to explore and share its innovative teaching practices. September 28: Episode #9 on joint virtual offices, which highlights a key pillar of transnational cooperation.

This new episode of the Charm-ON webinar is dedicated to Joint Virtual Offices (JVO), an essential pillar of transnational cooperation within Charm-EU. Drawing on the practical experience of the Joint Master’s Program in Global Challenges for Sustainability, the discussion will explore the day-to-day realities of coordinating an international program across multiple universities and countries.

The session will focus, in particular, on the diversity of institutional frameworks, support for students during the various phases of mobility, and the harmonization of work methods within multilingual and intercultural teams. It will provide a better understanding of how joint virtual offices facilitate cooperation between institutions and ensure the program’s continued operation across national borders.

Through these case studies, the discussion will illustrate how shared virtual offices help build bridges between different university systems and translate the vision of an alliance of European universities into concrete, sustainable collaborative practices in everyday life.

Each month, Charm-ON offers a supportive space for dialogue designed to foster the sharing of ideas, best practices, and personal experiences within the Charm-EU academic community. Faculty members, researchers, students, administrative staff… Drawing on their real-world experiences, they offer practical insights into the implementation of the alliance’s pedagogical principles: challenge-based learning, mobility, interculturalism, responsible innovation, and more. These exchanges aim to help staff at partner universities adopt the best practices developed within Charm-EU and to encourage their participation in the training programs offered throughout the year.
