  • Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Location: Agropolis International - 1000 Av. Agropolis, 34394 Montpellier

As part of “Printemps de la Donnée,” the Montpellier-based data workshop EcoDoR is organizing a study day on June 9, 2026, at the Agropolis International campus.

Under the theme “Research Data Law: From Legal to Ethical Considerations,” this event—designed for Montpellier’s research communities—will bring together researchers, legal experts, data professionals, and institutional stakeholders.

Throughout the presentations, several key themes will be explored:

  • GDPR obligations and best practices;
  • processing and sharing of health data;
  • the impact of generative artificial intelligence on research ethics;
  • Introduction to JurisDor, the platform providing legal and regulatory support for research projects;
  • the role of ethics committees and the balancing of scientific requirements, individual rights, and institutional responsibilities.

A space for discussion and dialogue

The EcoDoR 2026 Symposium will provide an ideal setting for bringing together legal, technical, and ethical perspectives, and for supporting research communities in the responsible and informed management of data.

Participants will be treated to some social breaks (coffee breaks, lunch).

For those unable to attend in person in Montpellier: access via videoconference will be available (interaction will be limited to the chat thread).

The detailed program and registration are now available on the event’s Sciencesconf page.
