Curated by Professor Mathieu Touzeil-Divina (University of Toulouse 1 – Capitole), this exhibition is presented by the “L’Unité du Droit” collective to mark its fifteenth anniversary.

Its goal is to highlight the various forms and manifestations of the law through several themes:

  • portraits of contemporary legal professionals;
  • headwear and costumes;
  • as well as seminal works on law or those that emphasize the unity of law.

The University of Montpellier’s Joint Documentation Service, which is hosting the exhibition, will showcase works by distinguished legal scholars from Montpellier, such as P. Placentinus, J.-J.-R. de Cambacérès, E. Antonelli, and J. Calais-Auloy.

After your visit, you’ll know everything there is to know about mortarboards, academic caps, gowns, togas, epitoges, and rabats!
