The Charm-EU alliance of European universities presents CHARM-ON, a series of monthly webinars designed to explore and share innovative teaching practices. Coming up at the end of June: Episode #8 on Charm-ED, an initiative that supports staff in developing and improving teaching practices within Charm-EU.

This new episode of the CHARM-ON webinar focuses on Charm-ED, an initiative that supports staff in developing and improving teaching practices within Charm-EU. By bringing together perspectives from across the entire Charm-EU community, the discussion will explore how, through collaboration, experimentation, and knowledge sharing, Charm-ED offers opportunities to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, in line with the alliance’s educational vision.

To provide concrete examples of this work, the session will present two Charm-ED projects. The first explores challenge-based learning in analytical chemistry laboratories through the CLIP Lab initiative. The second examines how education for sustainable development can be integrated into teaching practices and curriculum design. Together, these examples offer insight into how pedagogical innovation emerges, evolves, and creates value for students, faculty, and the alliance’s member institutions.

Featuring: Cicely Roche (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland), Tahmer Sharkawi (University of Montpellier, France), Ádám Tóth (Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary).

Every month at 1:00 p.m., CHARM-ON hosts a supportive forum for sharing ideas, best practices, and personal experiences within the Charm-EU academic community. Faculty members, researchers, students, administrative staff… Drawing on their real-world experiences, they offer concrete insights into the implementation of the alliance’s pedagogical principles: challenge-based learning, mobility, interculturality, responsible innovation… These exchanges aim to facilitate the adoption of best practices developed within Charm-EU by staff at partner universities and to encourage their participation in the training programs offered throughout the year.
