The program Capacity Buildingprogram, led by the University Innovation Cluster at the University of Montpellier, offers targeted training in innovation and research promotion. Through thematic modules led by experts, it supports the development of skills among professionals involved in innovative projects.

On April 14, Module 9 on intellectual property will focus on optimizing the detection of marketable inventions. It is intended for staff who wish to better identify, structure, and qualify research results in order to facilitate their protection and commercialization.

This session will cover the following topics:

  • analysis of the process of commercializing inventions resulting from academic research;
  • the technical and legal information to be collected during detection;
  • best practices for communicating with research teams;
  • fundamental tools and concepts in intellectual property;
  • the identification of protectable inventions based on experimental data.
