"Genders and public spaces: what resources for better living together?"

  • Category: Discussions and debates over a shared meal
  • Dates : March 9, 2023
  • Timetable: A 12h15
  • Location: Carcassonne - Faculty of Education, park (or foyer in case of rain)

Hosted by Maddalena Pornaro and Virginie Terroitin, architects with the l'amicale collective.

Are streets, public transport, public places and playgrounds neutral, non-gendered spaces that are equally accessible to men and women?
Why do certain uses and behaviours differ according to gender, and how can we design spaces so that everyone feels at home?

Around the architects' collective l amicale, we invite you to share your experiences, thoughts and ideas on this subject, while enjoying a meal (each of you brings your own sweet or savoury speciality).

This event is part of the 2022/2023 artist residency on the Carcassonne site of the Faculty of Education.

Reserved for UM students and staff.
