INVERT’EXPO – School of Sciences
This event has already taken place!
A photography exhibition presented at the Science Library by the CARABES association.
The original project INvertéDEX organized by the student association CARABES The Association for Research on Ecosystem Biodiversity (ACREB) at the University of Montpellier aims to develop a mobile app that enables users to conduct field surveys and easily identify invertebrates in their natural habitats.
To provide this tool with a collection of high-quality images, a photo contest open to everyone was held in the summer of 2021.
Through February 11, 2022, this exhibition showcases the best photos from the contest winners and highlights various aspects of this ambitious outreach project, which has received support from the University’s Faculty of Sciences and the FSDIE. It offers an educational introduction to how the app works, using a scientific approach to promote public understanding of biodiversity.
