INVERT’EXPO – BU Sciences
This event has passed!
A photography exhibition presented at the Science Library by the CARABES association.
The original project INverteDEX sponsored by the student association CARABES (Associative Committee for Research in Ecosystem Biodiversity) at the University of Montpellier aims to develop a mobile application that allows users to conduct naturalist surveys and easily identify invertebrates in their natural environment.
In order to provide this tool with a high-quality image bank, a photo contest open to all was organized in the summer of 2021.
Until February 11, 2022, this exhibition presents the best photos taken by the competition winners and highlights the various aspects of this ambitious outreach project, which received support from the University's Faculty of Science and FSDIE. It provides an educational introduction to how the app works, putting scientific methods at the service of the general public and promoting knowledge of biodiversity.
