Young Researchers and Future Researchers Day

The“Young Researchers of the Future”scientific conference, co-organized by the regional chapter of the French Chemical Society and the UM Chemistry Cluster, will take place onJuly 10, 2024. 

This free event, open to everyone, is dedicated to permanent staff who have been in their positions for less than five years following recruitment or a transfer (researchers, Professors, engineers) and to postdoctoral researchers in the region (Hérault, Gard, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales).

Two guest speakers will also be in attendance: 

  • Prof. Ulrich B. Weisner(Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Cornell University)“Ultrasmall fluorescent silica nanoparticles for bioimaging and therapeutic applications in oncology”
  • Dr. Nicolas Clavier(Marcoule Institute of Separative Chemistry, UMR 5257, University of Montpellier).
    “Making the nuclear fuels of the future: new approaches to actinide oxide synthesis”.

Lunch (provided) will offer an opportunity for scientific discussion among participants, and the day will conclude with the presentation ofthe award for best oral presentation to a postdoctoral researcher.
