3 CNRS researchers combine their knowledge and disciplines to decipher the present, past and future challenges and issues of the East African Great Rift. Often considered the cradle of humanity, the Rift, which stretches over 4,000 km and crosses 16 countries, is a major area of interaction between societies and environments.
With the participation of Christel Tiberi, physicist-seismologist (OREME, University of Montpellier, Géosciences Montpellier), Sandrine Prat, paleoanthropologist (Musée de l'Homme - MNHN) and Jessie Cauliez, archaeologist and ethnoarchaeologist (TRACES laboratory, Toulouse).
