TAUST is offering three evenings of theater, featuring three very different plays:

May 6 at 8 p.m. :

"Portes Ouvertes" is an all-singing, all-musical piece featuring a group of student activists. They gather in a classroom they block off inside the university to discuss their actions, their problems and their lives. They find in each other a shelter, a family, and try to get by as best they can in this society they don't understand and don't trust, each driven by a burning need to live together.

May 20 at 8 p.m. :

Le Sang de l'Amour, by Ould Abderahmen Kaki: Love, sacrifice, obsession and vice play the leading roles in this modern-day oriental tale. A forced union, impromptu meetings and a sleepless night that grows darker. How will Djamila's forced marriage affect Omar? Can the night soothe his rage before dawn?

May 27 at 8 p.m. :

Roberto Zucco, by Bernard-Marie Koltès : Roberto Zucco has escaped from prison. The man who killed his father finds himself right in the middle of the society he wants to escape at all costs. No one will be able to love this demon anymore, except for this little girl in distress, the one who will bring down this colossus with feet of clay. "I crush other animals not out of malice, but because I didn't see them and put my foot on them. B-M Koltès, 1990
