The Arborescence inter-association is a coalition of five organizations working to promote biodiversity and protect the environment in the Hérault department.

  • Artio is the association for students and graduates of the Master’s program in Environmental and Biodiversity Management at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier.
  • Fiber Nature is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a better understanding of biodiversity throughout France while introducing the general public to nature in order to protect natural sites.
  • GNaUM, or the University of Montpellier Naturalist Group, is a student organization open to the general public that offers lectures, surveys, workshops, and nature outings.
  • Terre Étudiante de Montpellier 3, or TÉM3, is the environmental student association at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier.
  • 1 Diplômé 1 Arbre is a student organization dedicated to the ecological restoration of degraded environments through the thoughtful planting of trees and hedges.

Arborescence was founded to strengthen ties among organizations committed to environmental protection. Guided by the principle that “unity is strength,” this environmental coalition was created to increase the impact and visibility of events related to the environment and biodiversity. The collective draws on the expertise of its member organizations in a variety of fields and on the complementary nature of their work.

This year, Arborescence is organizing the second edition of the “8 Days of Biodiversity” event. From February 12 to 19, come learn and share ideas at conferences, roundtables, film discussions, and nature excursions to deepen your appreciation for the natural world around us.
