The Arborescence Inter-Association is a coalition of five organizations working to promote biodiversity and protect the environment in the Hérault department.

  • Artio is the student and alumni association for the Master’s program in Environmental and Biodiversity Management at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier.
  • Fiber Nature is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a better understanding of biodiversity throughout France while helping the general public discover nature, with the goal of protecting natural sites.
  • GNaUM, or the University of Montpellier Naturalist Group, is a student organization open to the general public that offers lectures, surveys, workshops, and nature outings.
  • Terre Étudiante de Montpellier 3, or TÉM3, is the environmental student association at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier.
  • 1 Diplômé 1 Arbre is a student organization dedicated to the ecological restoration of degraded environments through the sustainable planting of trees and hedges.

Arborescence was founded to strengthen ties among organizations dedicated to environmental protection. Guided by the principle that “unity is strength,” this dynamic environmental coalition aims to increase the significance and reach of events related to the environment and biodiversity. The collective is built on the expertise of its member organizations in various fields and on their complementary strengths.

This year, Arborescence is organizing the second edition of the “8 Days of Biodiversity” event. From February 12 to 19, come learn and share ideas at conferences, roundtables, film screenings with discussions, and nature walks to deepen your sense of wonder at the natural world around us.
