Artificial intelligence: theoretical principles, learning methods, and applications

  • Category: Conference
  • Dates: April 2, 2025
  • Hours: 5 p.m.
  • Location: J.J. Moreau Lecture Hall (LMGC building) on the St Priest campus in Montpellier (Access: Tram line 1 - Château d'Ô stop or Bus line 6 - St-Priest stop)

AI is currently making headlines, with all kinds of myths and fears surrounding it. Without getting into an ethical debate, but rather to better illustrate the methods and limitations of data processing algorithms, we will present the principles of learning, data classification, and prediction (generative AI). We will also present some applications—particularly in robotics—the performance of some natural language processing systems, and a reflection on short-term trends.
