Cultural activities at universities are part of the core missions of institutions of higher education.

As an integral part of the cultural landscape, it complements the policies implemented by local governments and cultural organizations in the region. Its distinctive features lie in its close ties to research, education, and the dissemination of knowledge. Its audiences are simultaneously the recipients, producers, and participants.

How are these missions actually implemented within institutions? What forms do collaborative efforts take at universities? What are the opportunities—or, conversely, the obstacles—to coordinated action among departments? How is the cultural policy of these institutions defined and put into practice, both on campus and in the local communities? How does culture find its way into the university? How does the university position itself as a cultural actor?

Join ADBU and A+U+C on May 20, 2022, at the Richter MDE for a study day bringing together cultural stakeholders at the university to explore these issues.
