The“24th Forum for Young Mathematicians,” organized annually by the association “Women and Mathematics” in partnership with the CNRS Mission for Women’s Advancement, will be held this year from November 20 to 22, 2024, in Montpellier (France), with the theme “Mathematics for the Environment, Agriculture, and Food.”

The “Forum for Young Mathematicians” has existed in its current form since 2010 (though the first meetings date back to 1996). It is intended for mathematicians who are currently working on their dissertations or who have recently defended their dissertations.

The goal of these meetings is to promote women’s contributions to mathematics, increase their visibility within the scientific community, and encourage and support their professional integration so that they can take their rightful place within the mathematical community.

This24th edition will feature plenary lectures in which established female mathematicians will present their work, as well as parallel sessions specifically dedicated to the work of young mathematicians, who will have the opportunity to receive feedback and advice from more experienced attendees.
