Participation in Brain Awareness Week 2026 – 28th edition

The scientific association La Comédie des Neurones invites the scientific community of Montpellier and the surrounding region to the preparatory meeting for Brain Awareness Week 2026. It will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Inserm, Pavilion 42, La Colombière Hospital (a map will be sent to participants along with the agenda).

We welcome your ideas and suggestions for this^28th edition! Please feel free to propose an event (lecture, workshop, film screening and discussion, school activity, theater performance, etc.) and/or help organize it.

Last year, 30 events were scheduled, and more than 2,500 attendees were in attendance. The Brain Week coordination team is looking to welcome young researchers, engineers, doctoral students (ED CBS2 training credits), postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduates who would like to get involved in organizing this week to raise the national profile of Montpellier’s neuroscience community.

Brain Awareness Week is organized by the Society for Neuroscience, in partnership with the Federation for Brain Research and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

In Montpellier, the nonprofit organization La Comédie des neurones is coordinating this free event open to the general public. It has assembled a team eager to share knowledge, engage with the audience, and make this event a festive occasion for interaction.
