Discovering science and atoms!

On July 17 and 18, in the shade of the trees in the Jardin des Plantes, the Scientific Culture Department of the University of Montpellier is setting up a pop-up library: comic books, graphic novels, novels, and classic works are available for readers to discover science and atoms in an original way or simply enjoy a reading break in the greenery.

• Two days of activities led by science mediators to approach science in a fun way.
• Workshops on creating and illustrating imaginary atoms with Loguy, a talented illustrator and graphic designer.
• Want to learn more? The cooperative bookstore La Cavale offers a selection of books on various topics to help you better understand scientific phenomena.

The fifth edition of the major children's book festival, "Partir en livre," initiated by the Ministry of Culture and organized by the National Book Center (CNL), will be held from July 10 to 21, 2019.

With "Partir en livre" (Go on a Book Journey), a free, popular, and festive event, books leave their usual places to meet children and young people and share with them the joy of reading.
Workshops, readings, meetings with authors and illustrators, outdoor libraries and bookstores, shows, and games... The activities offered throughout France are invitations to read and enjoy reading in complete freedom, for everyone, from toddlers to young adults, with family or friends, on vacation or close to home.
