Preparing Your Pitch and Mastering Public Speaking

The Program Capacity Buildingprogram, led by the University Innovation Hub at the University of Montpellier, offers targeted training in innovation and research commercialization. Through thematic modules led by experts, it supports the professional development of professionals involved in innovative projects.

This one-day training session will focus on preparing a pitch and mastering public speaking. The morning will be devoted to structuring the pitch, while the afternoon will focus on the fundamentals of oral communication and putting them into practice.

This session will cover, among other topics:

• acquiring the skills needed to make an oral presentation more effective;
• structuring the pitch (CHOC method) and the OARIS approach;
• stress management and public speaking techniques;
• role-playing exercises to improve fluency and clarity of communication;
• tailoring one's message to persuade different types of audiences.

This training is designed for people who need to promote a project or make a persuasive oral presentation.
