Meeting with Bernard Lahire

Sociologist Bernard Lahire, CNRS research director at the Max Weber Center at the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, will be giving a seminar on Monday, December 9, at 2 p.m. at the University of Montpellier.

He has been invited by the Evolutionary Anthropology team at the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences in Montpellier to present his latest book, "Les structures Fondamentales des Sociétés Humaines" (The Fundamental Structures of Human Societies), which attempts to identify the key principles that structure human societies. The book draws in part on evolutionary biology, while offering an in-depth reflection on the epistemology of social sciences.
