Meeting of the Charm-EU research support offices

From December 2 to 4, the University of Montpellier is hosting an international meeting of research support offices (RSOs) as part of the Charm-EU alliance of European universities. The event coincides with the UM 2025 staff week.

The aim of this meeting is to enable staff from research support offices (RSOs) or equivalent structures at member universities of the Charm-EU alliance to meet, exchange best practices and difficulties, and identify effective ways of working together. The event is intended to contribute to the creation of a network of RSOs within the alliance, facilitating the sharing of calls for projects and training opportunities. It will also help set up efficient processes for bringing researchers together and writing proposals.

The face-to-face sessions will cover the following topics:

• networking and communication: strengthening links and optimizing exchanges between RSOs ;
• training and skills sharing: joint development of the skills of IISs and researchers;
• networking and consortia building: facilitating collaboration between researchers to develop solid proposals;
• strategic development and advocacy: strategic positioning of the Charm-EU RSOs ;
• shared infrastructure and resources: creating common tools, systems and knowledge resources to support collaboration.
