Charm-EU Research Support Offices Meeting

From December 2 to 4, the University of Montpellier will host an international meeting of research support offices (RSOs) as part of the Charm-EU alliance of European universities. The event will take place during UM Staff Week 2025.

This meeting aims to bring together staff from research support offices (RSOs) or equivalent units at universities that are members of the Charm-EU alliance to exchange best practices and discuss challenges, and to identify effective ways to collaborate. The event is intended to contribute to the creation of a network of RSOs within the alliance, which would facilitate the sharing of calls for proposals and training opportunities, as well as the establishment of efficient processes for connecting researchers and drafting proposals.

The in-person sessions will cover the following topics:

• networking and communication: strengthening ties and optimizing exchanges between BSRs;
• training and knowledge sharing: joint development of the skills of BSRs and researchers;
• networking and consortium building: facilitating collaboration among researchers to develop strong proposals;
• Strategic development and advocacy: strategic positioning of the Charm-EU BSRs;
• Shared infrastructure and resources: developing common tools, systems, and knowledge resources to support collaboration.
