10th Edition of the Montpellier-Sherbrooke University Scientific Conference
The 10th edition of the Montpellier–Sherbrooke University Scientific Conference, marking 20 years of fruitful exchanges and collaboration between the University of Montpellier, the University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry, and the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec), will be held in Montpellier from June 3 to 5, 2026, focusing on the theme: “The Challenges and Opportunities of Using AI in University Collaborations.”

The University of Sherbrooke, the University of Montpellier, and the University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry have formed a long-term strategic partnership. Since 2006, this Franco-Quebec partnership has been notable for organizing the Rencontres scientifiques universitaires, a biennial event held alternately in Montpellier and Sherbrooke.
The primary objective of these academic conferences is to strengthen and expand research and training initiatives by forging close ties between our academic institutions. This encompasses not only the fields of teaching and research, but also the exchange of institutional practices. They aim to sustain and intensify the momentum built up over previous years through scientific workshops on the one hand, and workshops on the exchange of institutional practices on the other.
A call for expressions of interest is currently underway at the three universities to help shape the program.
