Sextortion, the dark side of social media

Polytech Montpellier concludes its annual series of conferences on ecological and societal transition issues by welcoming Muriel Tronc, a 2009 graduate of Polytech Montpellier with a degree in computer science and management.

Muriel Tronc is an expert consultant on youth safety and security issues, and author of the book Cinq Pixs de plus, the French adaptation of Five More Pixs (2020), a thriller for young adults that raises awareness about sextortion and child safety. The novel won first place in the Young Adult category of the Writer's Digest Awards.
