Sextortion, the dark side of social media

Polytech Montpellier closes its annual cycle of conferences on the challenges of ecological and societal transition by welcoming Muriel Tronc, a graduate of Polytech Montpellier in computer science and management (2009).

Muriel Tronc is an expert consultant on the safety and security of young audiences, and author of the book "Cinq Pixs de plus", a French adaptation of "Five more pixs" (2020), a thriller for young adults, raises awareness about sextortion and the safety of children. The novel was awarded first place in the Young Adult category of the Writer's Digest Awards.
