Description:
This evening, which will combine screenings of short film excerpts, a discussion , and an exhibition of scientific imagery, aims to explore the relationship between two fields that might seem distant at first glance but are in fact particularly complementary: Art and Science.
The first part will feature two visual sequences, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. The first will provide an overview of issues related to counting, symmetry, and scale, while the second will focus on questions of experience and process. The screening will be followed by a discussion, accompanied by a tour of an exhibition created using scientific and artistic images from the COSA group. A casual reception will conclude the evening.
The COSA group was born out of a shared commitment by the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM), the Institut d’Electronique et des Systèmes (IES), the National School of Architecture of Montpellier (ENSAM), and the Montpellier Mediterranean Metropolis School of Fine Arts (ESBAMA) to engage in reflection and experimentation on Research, Science, and Art, with the aim of fostering joint projects at the intersection of these themes within their respective institutions.
