TEDx IAE Montpellier 2025: dive into the heart of illusion

TEDxIAEMontpellierreturns for itsthird editiononSaturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Montpellier Institute of Botany. AfterImpact(2021) andVivement demain ?(2023), the event promises to be more intriguing than ever with a new theme: ILLUSION.

Are you ready to question your assumptions?

In a world where our perceptions are constantly being challenged, where truth and falsehood blur between visual manipulation, cognitive distortion, and digital realities, TEDxIAEMontpellier 2025 invites you to explore the world of illusion.

How can we distinguish between what is authentic and what is simulated? To what extent do our beliefs influence our perception of reality?

Nine personalities from a variety of backgrounds—entrepreneur, researcher, explorer, artist, doctor, etc.—invite us to look beyond appearances and sharpen our critical thinking skills, while leaving room for wonder. Their goal: to encourage us to see things differently, to understand what lies behind our illusions, and to perceive another reality.

On the agenda: reflections on the illusion of the perfect body, discovering medicine reinvented by technology, immersion in generative art... and many other voices to listen to, helping us lift the veil on our certainties and rethink reality.

An inspiring event in Montpellier

Supported by IAE Montpellier, the University of Montpellier, and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, TEDxIAEMontpellier is organized by a team of volunteers made up of students, graduates, administrators, and teachers from IAE Montpellier.  Since 2021, the event has hosted a number of noteworthy presentations on topics such as water and climate issues, a more humanistic approach to psychiatry, the certainties of modern Homo sapiens, and inclusion through sport.

Each edition is designed to be a unique experience and upholds the values of sharing, openness, and commitment.
