Urgent action is needed to ensure that our planet remains habitable. While digital technology is often seen as a solution, it contributes significantly to environmental degradation and changes the way societies function. Didier Mallarino, a research engineer and computer scientist at the CNRS, will explain the environmental impacts of digital technology and how to avoid counterproductive measures.
