The UM Open Science and Research Support team is continuing its series of webinars on Open Science!

These webinars cover various topics related to open science, scientific publications, research data, and digital identifiers.

They take place every other Tuesday, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., with a presentation (between 20 and 40 minutes) and a discussion period.

Next webinar on April 29 ORCID

ORCID, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor IDentifier, is an international system that allows research staff to create a unique and permanent digital identifier (ORCID ID) to distinguish them unambiguously. The ORCID profile has thus become an essential part of a researcher's digital identity and accompanies them throughout their career. In 2025, UM will launch a campaign to encourage the creation and maintenance of ORCID IDs by offering to certify UM researchers' accounts.

After a brief theoretical introduction, this webinar will show you how to create your ORCID ID and set up your profile, leveraging interoperability with databases (HAL, Crossref, etc.) to enrich your list of publications.

These webinars will then be posted on UM's YouTube channel, in the Open Science playlist.
