Would you like to learn more about the key role of Wikimedia projects in the development and dissemination of open science? Nicolas Vigneron, a Wikimedian in residence at the SCD of theUM since June 1, 2026, will discuss the goals and objectives of the residency during this webinar and present the concrete contributions of Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons to ensuring the reliability of scientific knowledge, promoting it, and sharing it. Through practical examples and feedback, participants will learn how to contribute effectively to these platforms and integrate these tools into their professional practices.

The Open Science team at theUM is continuing its webinar series in 2026.

These webinars cover various topics related to Open Science (digital identity, open-access publications, etc.)

They take place every other Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and include a presentation and a discussion period.

They will then be posted on the Canal-U channel dedicated to open science at the University of Montpellier. You can view them whenever you like.
