“14/18, Medicine on the Field of Honor”: a virtual exhibition

From major scientific advances to university life during wartime, immerse yourself in four years that changed the history of the world... and the history of medicine.

Discover the online exhibition "14/18 Medicine on the Field of Honor." Presented in 2014 at the Faculty of Medicine, this exhibition attracted more than 3,000 visitors in just a few weeks. You can now view it at new virtual format.

Using archival documents, objects from the Montpellier anatomy conservatory or private collections, books and theses kept at the university medical library, and the research work of Dr. Morlock, she evokes the context of Montpellier, life at the front and medical conditions, the medical advances of the time, and briefly traces the careers of the doctors, students, and faculty staff who lost their lives there.

This exhibition has been online since November 18, 2016, to mark the19th European University Heritage Day, whose theme is "The Legacy of the 1914-18 War."
