Science Bar: “What Kinds of Energy for Our Future?”

The ecological transition and the energy transition are at the heart of all policy discussions and are now major issues given the need to control our greenhouse gas emissions.

In light of the climate change we are facing, producing and supplying more affordable, renewable, and clean energy poses a real challenge in contributing to the planet’s sustainable development.

To discuss this topic at the intersection of science and society, three multidisciplinary experts will answer questions from the audience live:

• Nicolas Louvain, Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry, researcher at the Charles Gerhardt Institute of Montpellier (ICGM), associate professor at the Montpellier-Sète University Institute of Technology (IUT).
• Jacques Percebois, Ph.D. in Economics, Professor Emeritus at the University of Montpellier, member of the CNRS UMR ART-Dev, and founder of CREDEN (Center for Research s in Energy Economics and Law).
• Roger Soliva, Ph.D. in Geology, researcher at the Montpellier Geosciences Laboratory, associate professor at the University of Montpellier, and co-director of the Master’s program in Exploration and Reservoir Geology at the University of Montpellier.
