A great haul for UM’s athletes
On December1, the University of Montpellier honored the student athletes who proudly represented the university at the French University Championships. This year, the university won a total of 35 medals across all categories, including twelve gold medals. Profiles of the champions.

Once again this year, the University of Montpellier gathered its top athletes at the “Bulle” gymnasium in the Motte-Rouge sports center. It was an opportunity for everyone to look back together on the achievements of the past season. It was a fantastic season for UM, with nearly 130 students taking the podium at the French University Championships, winning a total of 35 medals across a wide range of disciplines (see box).
About a hundred athletes made the trip to pick up their gifts—symbolic tokens of the pride they have brought to the University—before posing for the traditional group photo. And while the cold weather joined the party, the atmosphere was anything but chilly.
