Storm and Flood Risk Prevention Day at the University of Montpellier
On Thursday, October 13, as part of the first national “Resilience Against Risks” Day, students in the Master’s 2 program in “Risks and the Environment” (ESEQ – Faculty of Law) at the University of Montpellier are getting involved and organizing a day dedicated to storm and flood risk prevention at the Richter Campus.
The goal of this event, in a nutshell
In these challenging times for the environment, this workshop on storm and flood risk prevention at the University of Montpellier will help students understand the phenomenon, learn how to stay informed and recognize alert levels, and—most importantly—adopt the right behaviors to stay safe!
This prevention day will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Richter Campus, at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center and the Economics Students’ Cafeteria (in Building C). To raise awareness, a variety of fun and interactive prevention workshops will be specially designed for people of all ages. Whether alone or in a group, everyone is welcome to come and take on the challenge!
The Master’s 2 program in “Risk and Environment” at the University of Montpellier
Characterized by its interdisciplinary approach, the Master’s in Risk and Environment delves into the key topics addressed by a Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) manager from a managerial perspective. The goal is to help students develop the analytical and synthesis skills essential for studying complex cross-disciplinary topics, as well as the communication skills needed to lead projects and manage a team.
Combining legal knowledge with practical expertise, the Master’s in Risk and Environment prepares students to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation. This Master’s program at the Faculty of Law and Political Science aims to train students to become managers in the public or private sector, equipped with a mastery of Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE) tools and methods. Graduates of this program serve as experts and advisors to senior management. They contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and steering of QSE policy.
