The Association of State-Certified Engineers is holding its annual conference on the topic of engineering employment and human resources

On Friday, October 20, 2023, the University of Montpellier—and more specifically Polytech—organized and hosted the annual conference of the IDPE Association in partnership with the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (CNAM), the Federation of CNAM Students and Alumni (FEAE CNAM), and the French Association for the Development of Technical Education (AFDET).

This conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research

The Issues at the Conference

France is reindustrializing, with productivity and competitiveness as its main goals. This acceleration of our reindustrialization, driven by the government, highlights a problem that has already been clearly identified: France lacks engineers, particularly in the industrial sector.

How can companies that are struggling to recruit address this situation? This conference aimed to explore solutions to the shortage of trained and experienced engineers by examining the opportunities offered by the IDPE program.

This event brought together distinguished speakers, including professionals from the fields of human resources and higher education, who gathered to discuss the vital role of talent management in the future of our industry.
