The Brain from Every Angle

March 2–21: a (very) big week to explore the brain, this still largely unexplored planet. There are many fun, educational, and fascinating events in Montpellier, Nîmes, Frontignan, and Sète—and they’re free.
From March 2 to 21, set out to explore the world of the brain. This is a nationwide event with a long history: Brain Week has been making headlines in France for no less than 18 years. Multiple venues, diverse topics, prestigious speakers… Throughout the event, the general public will have the opportunity to meet researchers to learn more about the brain and stay up to date on the latest research.

Neuroscience

The field of neuroscience has seen tremendous growth over the past century. Numerous researchers, Professors, doctors, and student volunteers will come to share the latest advances and discuss the challenges and implications for our society.
On the program: lectures, film discussions and video screenings, readings, philosophy bars, hands-on workshops, and theater performances—the list is long of fun, educational, or… unclassifiable events offered free of charge in Montpellier, Nîmes, Frontignan, and Sète.
To mark Brain Awareness Week, don’t miss the Science Bar event “Are We Governed by Our Emotions?” on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Brasserie le Dôme in Montpellier.
