The University of Montpellier Open House will take place on March 2, 2024

On March 2, the entire teaching community and dedicated departments at the University of Montpellier will be on hand to provide guidance, advice and answers to questions from high school and university students, as well as anyone in the workforce seeking information about the UM's range of courses. All teams will also be on hand to showcase the excellence of the University's masters programs, the skills acquired by graduates, the jobs available on completion, and the high level of qualifications in all areas of training.

Open House in a nutshell

On the various campuses, the public will be able to discover more than 650 courses offered by the University of Montpellier in law, economics, management, health, science, education or technology, via the traditional route, apprenticeships or continuing education. The open house will provide an opportunity to present the 17 faculties, schools and institutes through campus visits, university libraries and student accommodation. The aim of the event is to encourage discussion with the entire university community, who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about courses and student life at the university.

Why study at the University of Montpellier?

With its rich history and intellectual heritage, the UM is a leading institution, distinguished by its commitment to academic excellence and the diversity of the courses it offers (more than 450 courses in 74 majors). Studying at the university... means benefiting from the expertise of our teaching and research staff, who are often internationally recognized for their outstanding contributions to their fields, and who share their cutting-edge knowledge with our students. It also means being able to choose multi-disciplinary courses right from the start of your studies, focusing on the major societal challenges of tomorrow, as well as international internships. It also means free support to help you succeed throughout your studies (revision weeks, tutoring, etc.), and to help you find a job. Our many partnerships with companies and organizations enable us to offer training aligned with the needs of the job market.

JPO at the UM: choosing your path after Parcoursup

Choosing your orientation on Parcoursup is not always easy. The Open House will help you make up your mind in a less abstract way: the entire university community is on hand to answer questions, dispel doubts and offer advice. Teachers will be on hand, of course, as well as students who will be sharing their recent experiences. It's also an opportunity to visit innovative teaching facilities and attractive university living spaces.

.... But also for those who wish to pursue a Master's degree

The entire range of courses on offer is presented at these days, from first year to Master's level: for high school students, this enables them to project themselves towards longer-term study possibilities, and for those already in higher education, to plan their next course of study by talking to course leaders.

... or who want to go back to school

There are many ways to continue your studies after a break. The JPO is also an opportunity to find out more and take a step towards a new future.
