The Montpellier School of Management has been awarded EFMD European accreditation for an exceptional five-year term

IAE Montpellier, a university-affiliated business school, has just received EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) accreditation for a period of five years. This quality certification, rarely granted for such a long period, is a prestigious recognition that reflects the quality of the education provided at IAE Montpellier. This accreditation is awarded to schools for their academic excellence and their commitment to continuous improvement. It serves to evaluate and certify the quality of management education programs and institutions. It ensures that the institution meets high standards in teaching, research, and connections with the professional world.

A major milestone for the IAE, which has become the14th institution in France to receive this accreditation for a five-year period

EFMD accreditation marks a major milestone for the IAE de Montpellier, which is now one of only three IAEs in France to have received this distinction for such an extended period. By joining the select group of French institutions accredited by the EFMD for five years, the IAE de Montpellier is also strengthening its position on the international academic stage.

“This recognition from an international organization as rigorous as the EFMD marks the culmination of nearly 10 years of work since we first received accreditation in 2015. I would like to thank all stakeholders—faculty and staff, business and institutional partners—and, of course, our president and all university departments for their support. The IAE de Montpellier is already ISO 9001, Qualicert, and PRME certified for its social and environmental commitment. Today, it receives one of the most prestigious international recognitions, which attests to the quality of its programs, its administration, and the career placement of its students. It reinforces the positioning of the IAE de Montpellier, which chose from its inception to become a school offering dual expertise in science and management. “It demonstrates—even if it no longer needs proving—that being a public university-level management school is not incompatible with the ‘quality’ and ‘recognition’ of its degrees in France and internationally,” states Emmanuel Houée, director of IAE Montpellier.
