First session of the Montpellier 2025 Innovation Booster
From February 5 to 7, 2025, the University of Montpellier, leader of the University Innovation Cluster (PUI), organized the first session of the year of the Montpellier Innovation Booster (BIM). Six budding innovators took part in this meeting, determined to transform their ideas into concrete solutions, whether through business creation, public-private partnerships, or technology transfer.

For three days, these project leaders benefited from workshops, conferences, and coaching sessions. The main objective was to prepare them for the decisive pitch exercise, a challenge in which each participant had to present their project in just three minutes to a jury of experts.
A variety of projects
Among the projects presented, two focused on agriculture. One aimed to develop an application to facilitate the implementation of an existing soil health method, while the other proposed a spatialized rainfall-runoff modeling platform. Three other projects were focused on human health: a device for male incontinence, a solution to improve the management of invasive vascular devices, and a proposal for freeze-drying dedicated to quality control for various pathologies. Finally, the last project was related to finance, with an application to support financial investment.
Catalyst for innovative projects
At the end of this session, four out of six participants submitted their applications to the investment and innovation committee of the University Innovation Cluster (COM'IN), which will select the winners and offer them funding to develop their projects. This event is part of the PUI's efforts to identify and support innovative projects. Each year, this program becomes a real catalyst for project leaders, offering them not only tools, but also a network of experts, partners, and financiers to help them reach new heights.
The next BIM will take place on April 8, 9, and 10, 2025. You have until March 7 to register and try to give your project a new boost.
