General presentation The origins of Montpellier's Faculty of Law date back to the 12th century, when Placentin taught law in Montpellier. Over the centuries, Montpellier's "Université des lois", which became the "École de droit" and then the "Faculté de droit et de science politique", has remained true to its original vocation. It has trained generations of jurists from all countries and cultures. This is how its scientific reputation, international standing and ambitions in this field were forged. For some years now, the Faculty has also been offering a comprehensive and innovative training program (bachelor's, master's, doctorate) in Political Science.
