Overview The origins of the Montpellier School of Law date back to the 12th century, when Placentin taught law in Montpellier. Over the centuries, the “University of Laws”—which became the “School of Law” and then the “School of Law and Political Science” in Montpellier—has remained true to its original mission. It has educated generations of legal professionals from all countries and cultures. This is how it has forged its academic reputation, its international standing, and its ambitions in this field. In recent years, the Faculty has also offered a comprehensive and innovative program (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees) in Political Science.
